The Coach tab

ForManagersAdmins

The Coach tab is where you plan your coaching and follow it up. Use it each week to find the reps that you must still coach, to prepare for a session, and to see how well you coach.

To learn the full weekly cycle of coaching in Arcade, read How coaching works.

Go to Coach. Arcade expects you to coach each rep one time each week.

A rep moves from TO COACH to COACHED when the AI approves a coaching session that you led with that rep. A session with a different coach does not count for you. The week starts again each Sunday at midnight, US Central Time. Then all your reps go back to TO COACH.

For a Company Manager or a Champion, TO COACH and COACHED show every person in the organization. Refer to Roles and permissions.

A rep who has no coaching step in a pathway is also in these lists. You can coach that rep with a follow-up session. You cannot open a rep who is in a different session at that time.

The check-in tells you what changed since the last coaching session of a rep. Read it before you coach.

Select a rep in TO COACH to open the check-in. The AI writes THE RUNDOWN from the sessions, the skill scores, and the action plan of the rep.

In COACH NAME NEXT, select one of two types of session:

  • Follow-up session: Arcade builds a new session from the action plan and the weak skills of the rep. This takes some seconds.
  • A coaching step from a pathway, with the label Assigned coaching node: the Live Coaching steps of the published pathways that the rep has. To give the rep one, add a Live Coaching step to a pathway, publish the pathway, and assign it to the rep. Refer to Create a pathway.

To start the session, refer to Run a coaching session.

When you select a rep in COACHED, Arcade shows the action plan of the rep, not the check-in. Refer to Team commitments.

Some minutes after each session, the AI scores how you coached. It reads the transcript of the session and uses the coaching method of your organization. Select the YOUR LAST COACHING SESSION card for the details of your newest score.

The AI also checks how much of the time you talk. A good coach talks for about a quarter of the time and lets the rep talk for the rest. When you talk for 30% of the time or more, the feedback tells you to let the rep talk more. To talk less, ask open questions. For example, ask “How would you handle that next time?”

When the card shows a reason and no score, the AI did not assess the session. For example, a session that is too short gets no score and no action plan.

The weekly digest is an email that Arcade sends each Monday. It shows the action plan of each rep: what the rep agreed to, what is still open, and what is late.

To subscribe, select the envelope button at the top right of the weekly card on Coach. Then select Subscribe.

The email goes to the email address of your account. You cannot send it to a different address. In the email, the link of a rep opens the check-in of that rep.

The email covers the people on the teams that you manage. If you do not manage a team, you get no email. Arcade also sends no email in a week when none of these people has an action plan.
