Do a lesson

ForLearners

A lesson is a pathway step that you do at your own speed. You read short cards and answer quizzes. Some lessons also ask you to record short spoken answers. A lesson has no AI conversation.

  1. In your pathway, select START on the lesson step.
  2. Select Start Lesson.
  3. On the last card, select Finish.

If the lesson records you, start it when you can speak without noise around you.

When a quiz has one correct answer, Arcade shows the result immediately after you select an answer. You cannot change your answer.

Some quizzes accept more than one answer. If Arcade does not show the result after you select an answer, select all the answers that you think are correct. These answers do not show in your quiz score.

Your quiz answers do not decide if you complete the lesson.

A prompt card asks you to record a short spoken answer on camera. After Save, you cannot record that answer again.

Give a full answer to each prompt. If your recorded answers are too short, the session does not count. Refer to I finished a session. Why didn’t it count?.

What happens after you select Finish depends on the lesson:

  • A lesson without spoken answers is complete immediately. The next step of the pathway opens.
  • A lesson with spoken answers goes to Arcade for assessment. Until the assessment is complete, the step shows ASSESSING. The step is complete only when Arcade approves the session. Only this type of lesson gets AI feedback.

Before the end screen, Arcade asks you to rate the session.

Finish a lesson in one visit. When you close a lesson and select Leave Session, Arcade does not save it. The next time, the lesson starts again at the first card.

If you go to a different screen and do not close the lesson, Return to session takes you back to the same card.
