Complete a pathway

ForLearners

A pathway is a series of training steps that your organization assigns to you, for example a lesson, then an AI roleplay, then a certification. You do the steps in order. To learn how steps, skills, and certifications work together, refer to Pathways, skills, and certifications.

On TrainAssigned, select START on your next step.

Part of a pathway card on a phone, with two completed steps that have a green check and the next step, a certification, with the START label above it.
Part of a pathway card. A green check shows a completed step. "START" shows above your next step.

On a pathway card, only your next step can start.

What opens after START depends on the type of the step:

A step is complete only after Arcade approves a session of it. For an AI session or a recorded answer, the approval comes after the assessment, so the next step can stay closed for some minutes.

When the label on your next step is not START, it tells you what to do:

Label What to do
ASSESSING Wait for the assessment of your last attempt. Select the label to see the status.
TRY AGAIN Start the step again. Arcade could not assess your last attempt, for example because it was too short.

If you did not pass a certification, START can open a dialog that shows Retry in and a number of days. Your organization sets this wait between attempts. Refer to Certifications.

A dot on a green check tells you that new feedback is ready and that you did not open it. When a session does not complete a step, refer to I finished a session. Why didn’t it count?.

A pathway with UPCOMING and a lock has a prerequisite: a different pathway that you must complete first. You cannot open the upcoming pathway until you complete all the steps of the prerequisite.

The card does not show the name of the prerequisite. Complete your other pathways first. If the pathway stays locked after you complete all of them, the prerequisite is not on your Train tab. Ask your manager to assign it to you.

Select a step that has a green check. The dialog has a start button only when your organization allows repeats for the step. Your organization can allow repeats only for AI Training, AI Roleplay, and Live Practice steps. After you pass a certification, you cannot start it again. If you want to do a completed step again and you cannot, speak to your manager.

Some pathways unlock a game. When you complete the pathway, the coin at the end of the path shows UNLOCKED. Select the coin to open the game. A small coin on a step tells you that the step unlocks a game. Refer to Games.

Arcade does not send an email when you get a new pathway. You get New training available in the notification center and on the mobile app.

Your organization can require a short AI onboarding session. Until you do it, the Meet your AI coach pathway shows with REQUIRED, and the QUICK START card does not show. An approved session of an AI Training or AI Roleplay step also completes the onboarding.

When your organization adds a step to a pathway that you completed, the pathway leaves the COMPLETED section. It stays open until you complete the new step.

When your organization changes the content of a step that you completed, the step stays complete.
