Create and manage teams

ForManagersAdmins

A team is a group of people, for example the staff of one store. Teams decide which people a Team Manager manages, and who gets the training and the games that you give to a team. They also decide how a game counts sales.

To open the details of a team, go to the profile of a person that you manage, then select a team below TEAMS. Refer to Open a profile.

The details of a team: its name, the number of members, the Edit team button, and the lists of its managers and members.
The details of a team.

The Member actions menu (⋮) of a person has Make team captain, Remove from team, and, for a manager of the team, Remove as team manager.

Go to ManageTeams, then select Create Team.

After you create the team, add its people and choose its managers.

In the details of the team, select Add people. A new member gets the pathways that you assigned to the team. To change all the teams of one person, use Team Membership in their Edit Profile form. Refer to Edit the details of a person.

A manager of a team manages its people in Manage. To open Manage, the manager also needs the Team Manager role or a higher role. Refer to Roles and permissions.

In the details of the team, select Add manager…. If the person is not a member of the team, Arcade also adds them to the team.

Give each team at least one manager. Without a manager, coaching notifications cannot go to the team.

A team can have one or more captains. A team game can give its prize to the captains of the team only. Refer to Games.

Member mode, in Edit team (the pencil icon), sets how games count the sales of the team:

  • With Member mode off, game scores count the sales at the location of the team.
  • With Member mode on, game scores count the sales of the members of the team, at all locations. Use it for a team whose members work at different locations, for example a corporate team.

When a person is on more than one team with Member mode on, their sales count for each of these teams. Refer to Why didn’t my game pay out?

When you remove a person from a team, they stay on their other teams. If they manage the team, they still manage it after the removal. To stop the management too, select Remove as team manager before you remove the person.

When you delete a team, the people stay in Arcade and on their other teams. Arcade deletes the feed of the team and removes the team from its games.
