Metrics

ForManagersAdmins

A metric is a value that your organization tracks, for example “Sales Won” or “Protection plans sold”. Each sales activity counts toward one metric, and a game scores its players on one or more metrics. Make your metrics before you create the games that use them.

Go to ManageADMINMetrics. Before you make a metric, decide two things:

  • The unit: a count (#), dollars ($), or a percent (%). Use a count for things that you add up one at a time, for example plans sold. Use dollars for revenue.
  • The total: the sum of the activities, or their average. Use the sum for most metrics. Use the average for a value where a sum has no meaning, for example a percent or a customer rating.

Give each metric a name that people understand on a leaderboard. Each metric in your organization must have a different name.

A metric gets its values from sales activities. The activities come from an integration with your sales system, or a manager adds them in Sales. To add or correct an activity, read Check and correct sales.

The Arcade team sets up which metrics an integration fills. Speak to your Arcade customer success manager before you make a metric for data from your sales system.

Archive a metric to remove it from use. Arcade keeps its activities, and you can restore it later.

Before you archive a metric, make sure that no active game uses it.

An archived metric keeps its name, so you cannot make a new metric with the same name. If you need the metric again, restore it.
