I finished a session. Why didn't it count?

ForLearnersManagers

A session counts only after Arcade approves it. A step of a pathway is complete only when you have an approved session on it. Find the session on the Feedback tab of the Train tab.

Arcade did not finish the assessment. The Feedback tab shows a blue briefcase icon, and the step shows ASSESSING. The assessment usually takes 1 to 5 minutes.

During the assessment, you can start the step again only if the step allows repeats.

If Arcade has no result 30 minutes after the session ends, the session shows Assessment Unavailable. Do the session again.

A pause icon shows a session that you stopped with Save & exit, and the step shows RESUME. Continue it in the next 24 hours to complete it.

The feedback shows Session Too Short, and the step shows TRY AGAIN. Arcade shows this when:

  • An AI Training or an AI Roleplay lasts less than 20 seconds.
  • You say fewer than 20 words in an AI Training or an AI Roleplay.
  • In an AI Training or an AI Roleplay, the AI finds that you did not take part. For example, the microphone recorded only background noise.
  • The total time of your recorded answers in a lesson or a certification is less than the minimum for its prompt cards.

Do the session again. In an AI session, have a full conversation. In a lesson or a certification, give a full answer to each prompt card. If a certification has a wait time between attempts, a too-short attempt also starts the wait time.

The end screen shows Session ended early when you end the session, the connection stops, or the AI cannot hear you. Arcade still sends the session for feedback. It approves an AI Training or an AI Roleplay only when the conversation is complete or stops in the final wrap-up.

When the session stops before the wrap-up, the feedback covers only the part that you completed. The step shows TRY AGAIN, and the scores do not count in averages.

Do the session again, and stay until the AI closes it. To stop for some minutes, pause the session.

The Feedback tab shows a warning icon. Select the icon to see the reason, for example:

  • “Session off-topic”: the session has a total score of 5 or less out of 16.
  • “Minimum required cards not passed”: you passed fewer certification questions than the Pass Criteria. Refer to Why did I fail the certification.

Read the feedback, and then do the session again.

One of these messages shows in place of the scores, and the step shows TRY AGAIN:

  • No Spoken Words Detected: check your microphone and audio.
  • Assessment Unavailable: the assessment did not finish, or the session has no recording.

Do the session again. These attempts do not start a wait time between attempts.

Section titled “See why a session of your team did not count”

Go to ManageTRAININGActivity. In place of a score, the result of a session can show:

  • No reply: the AI ended the session because the person did not reply.
  • Fail: a certification was too short.

Ended early below the score shows that the session stopped before the wrap-up.

The Session Status card on the Details tab of the session shows the reason. To make the session count, approve the session.
