Assign a pathway
An assignment tells Arcade who must complete a pathway. Assign a pathway when it is ready, or prepare the assignment while the pathway is still a draft.
Assign a pathway
Section titled “Assign a pathway”Open the pathway, then select the Assignment: row in its details.
Each option reaches different people:
- Everyone in the organization: all people, also the people who join later. Only Company Managers and higher roles have this option.
- Everyone on my teams: the people on the teams that you manage, and on their sub-teams. You have this option when you manage one or more teams.
- Specific Teams and Specific Users: you can select teams and users together in one assignment.
An assignment is a rule, not a fixed list. A person who joins an assigned team later also gets the pathway. Refer to Who an assignment reaches.
Know what learners get
Section titled “Know what learners get”When you save the assignment of a published pathway, the pathway shows on the Train tab of each assigned learner. Arcade also sends New training available to the people that the assignment adds.
When the pathway is a draft, the dialog shows “This pathway is a draft”. The assigned people do not see the pathway until you publish it. They also get no notification when you publish it. For this reason, publish the pathway first, then assign it.
A pathway assignment has no due date. For the notifications and the reminders, refer to What learners see and when.
Work with the assignments of other managers
Section titled “Work with the assignments of other managers”Several managers can assign the same pathway. When a Team Manager or a Team Admin saves, Arcade changes only the part of the assignment that they manage. It keeps the assignments of the other managers.
“Assigned to Everyone” means that an admin assigned the pathway to the whole organization. You cannot change that part.
When you remove people from your assignment, the pathway leaves their Train tab. A different assignment can still give it to them.
